That is what our sons name means in Hebrew. You see our Baby Dr. is a Messianic Jew who is wicked smart and before we decided on the name which you are dying to know we ran it by him to see what the meaning was. Many people said we wouldn’t be able to have more children after Allie and we had pretty much given up but then the Lord provided us a third child and we can’t be happier.
Tobias Charles Musselwhite
Tobias means The Lord has provided
Charles means he is stuck, er… I mean blessed with his daddy’s name (Charles) like his daddy is blessed
with his daddy’s name (Phillip). I think they call that the start of a tradition.

We are proud to announce that we are the parents of a brand new baby boy! He was born at 1:15pm at french hospital in San Luis Obispo and the C-section was uneventful. He weighs 7lbs straight up and is 19" long. Both baby and mommy are doing well. Thank you for all your prayers.
Oh yeah his name. I’ll post that with the pictures later. Ha ha ha:)

Baby #3 comes into our family today. I can’t tell you how excited I am for this. Jen and I love being parents and even though it has been the toughest thing we have ever done I am ready to do it all over again. Just as God would have it our other two children just started sleeping good through the night and now we start all over with those 2am feedings (more so Jen because she is the one who has to nurse).
There are so many cool things about a new baby. Their skin is so soft and they let you hold them for hours without squirming. You get excited about things like a poopy diaper and everything they do is a first. We have been so blessed by the outpouring of support by our family and the Village People. If you can remember to pray around 2:30 pm today we would appreciate it. That is when Jen goes into surgery. The first two experiences were traumatic and I know I am going to be a bundle of nerves.

Jen and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary two days early. We took our kids to the Barnards and headed down to AJ Spurs in Buellton. Good food but better company as we enjoyed talking on the 20 minute drive and all through dinner. Had some good ribs.
I can’t believe that we have been married 10 years already! I am a lucky guy because I married my best friend. It seems our dreams get bigger and bigger every year. I think I enjoy driving and talking with her more than anything else. It just happens so easily.
Jen I love you and I love doing life and ministry with you. You mean everything to me.

There is a rumor going around that my wife went into labor. While not an impossibility it is a high probability because our actual due date isn’t until March 9th. She is having a C-section at French hospital tomorrow afternoon. We will announce the sex, stats, and name of the baby here Wednesday night along with some pictures. Until then please tame down the rumor mill over there in Santa Maria. All I did was send a prayer request to the prayer chain at CCSM telling them what I just told you.
It was a pretty good laugh because it got some family members and friends whipped into a frenzy!

UCLA is #2 in the basketball polls this week. Prime for a run to the big dance in three weeks. My beloved Bruins are going to go deep into the tournament this year. They are 9-1 against ranked teams, undefeated at home, and everyone is coming back from injury. Makes me want to buy tickets to Pac 10 conference tournament. We are looking at a #1 seed for the west bracket and games in San Jose and Sacramento.
My condolences go out to the universities of Florida and North Carolina. Tough loses. Better luck next time

Sunday’s message on Luke 6 is online and you can listen to it here or if you have iTunes you can subscribe here. Yesterday I shared about the Vision of The Village Chapel and some other big things on the horizon. One note of caution. It is a big file because there are some songs included on it and the recording starts and you don’t hear anything for 51 seconds. We just started recording early.

This was a great weekend for The Village Chapel. It started off on Saturday morning with our prayers groups. They were packed and there was an expectation in our people. I always get jazzed when I look at the faces of people eating breakfast there as the two groups pass each other at our meeting room. all of them are like "What the heck is going on?"
After that I spent the rest of the day getting ready for Sunday services. With us being a portable there is so much to get ready and add on top of that betting ready for the baby to arrive in a week there was a lot of activity going on. Usually we like to lay low on Saturdays and just recharge but lately that has been such a challenge.
Sunday morning it was raining so that always puts our set up team into overdrive. I am amazed at how proactive they are in looking out for things. It is nice to have a group of people who you can trust so much. They really free me to connect with as many people as possible.
Once again our service was packed. I think I counted 130 adults and 40 kids. We are getting several new families each week and many of them are stepping up and volunteering to serve. Joe led our worship team from his drums this week which sent my son Caleb through the roof. He loves to worship and drums are his thing. We had several new people in the worship team this week and they are sounding better and better each time.
Finally I got a chance to lay out the vision of The Village Chapel today. I talked about Living The WORD and our four core values of Worship, Outreach, Relationships, and Discipleship. I also shared the big announcement with our church and it really set off a lot of people dreaming about what God could do. I am not going to share it here yet but in the next couple of weeks you’ll be hearing more about it.
Our group is really excited about Easter. If anyone knows where I can get a circus tent for our services that day let me know. The postcards are at the printer and we are ready to let every one know that The Village Chapel is open for business.
I am tired and ready for our new baby to come. Wednesday at 2:30pm.

My two year old Daughter Allie has become a "Chatty Cathy." She never stops talking and is always trying to impress us with her vocabulary. She is really good at mimicing words we say. One of her favorite words is "No!" While we are trying to break her of that we had to laugh the other day when she was sitting at the dinning room table. She was singing "Jesus Love Me." and then saying "No!" real sharply. After doing it several times we told her that Jesus does love her. She then replied "No!" and pointed to her head. It was then that we realized she was saying "Know" and not "No!" She just couldn’t say "This I Know." We laughed for a long time after that.

Spent the morning up in Solvang watching the Tour of California bike race. I was totally blown away. Most of these guys are my height (6"2) and look like a big V. Their upper bodies are huge with some serious lats, their waists are small, and their legs are like redwoods. I always had huge respect for Lance Armstrong but now it has gone through the roof. These guys are amazing athletes and can really move on the bike. Saw several riders leave the starting gate and then went to the finish line and watched most of the riders finish. Incredible. Solvang is a perfect place for a bike race and there must of been about 30,000 people there and most of the people were of their bikes. It made for a great atmoshoere. I saw riders like George Hincapie, Ivan Basso, Michael Rasmussen, but the best was watching the duel between Jen Voight and Levi Leipheimer. They were battling over first place overall and finshed 1st and 2nd in the race! More exciting than I was expecting.
Went with my good friends the Lopez’s and had fun with kids. Took Caleb because he loves to play with Luke and Sophia. Rene and Camille have been good friends for a long time. It made for a very enjoyable day and a lot of free stuff!
